Social Deduction Lab
Mafia, deception, psychology, and hidden information.
Overview
A design and engineering exploration of social deduction games — inspired by Mafia and Werewolf. The focus is on psychological mechanics and group tension.
Why I built it
Social deduction games are one of the richest design spaces in games. The interesting part is human psychology — bluffing, deduction, and trust dynamics.
What I was exploring
Hidden information game design, asymmetric player roles, real-time social dynamics in browser multiplayer, and minimal game UI tension.
How it works
A WebSocket-based game server handles state and player roles. Players interact through a minimal browser interface designed for strategic focus.
